Ms. Ying Cheng has been engaged in research and practices in the fields of financial compliance and supervision, Fintech, network security and data protection, corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, private equity funds, litigation and arbitration. She is the director of the International Financial Compliance and Supervision Research Center of the Financial Professional Committee (China region) of the firm, holds the lawyer's licenses of both Mainland China and New York State, USA, qualified as an International Certified Compliance Professional (ICCM), and served as a visiting professor at the Academy for International Business Officials (AIBO) of China’s Ministry of Commerce.

• Beijing Fintech Institute: Serving as the content director of the Financial Data Compliance project, editor-in-chief of the quarterly journal Digital Finance Compliance Insights;
• China Datang: Served as the legal counsel for the 68.5 billion yuan debt restructuring of the coal chemical platform of China Datang Group, with 19 entities and 14 financial institutions involved;
• An A-share listed company: Representing an A-share listed company in its PE fund formation, registration and filing with Asset Management Association of China (AMAC);
• China Fortune Land Development (600340): Represented China Fortune Land in its Taiku Tech PE fund formation, registration and filing with AMAC;
• Beihang University: Represented Beihang Changying Capital Fund, a PE fund holding platform of Beihang University, in its fund formation, registration and filing with AMAC;
• China Development Bank: Served as the legal counsel for the bank in project financing of a Canadian nickel mine M&A by Gene Nickel (SH:600432);
• China Development Bank: Served as the legal counsel for the bank in project financing for the acquisition of a Russian timber factory by a Chinese furniture manufacturer;
• Dongshan Precision (SZ: 002384): Served as the legal counsel for Dongshan Precision in its investment (Series D) in SolFocus, Delaware, USA;
• China Petroleum Engineering and Construction Corporation (CPECC): Served as the legal counsel for CPECC in its Iraq and the Kurd related business matters;
• China Datang: Represented a subsidiary (debtor) and Datang International (guarantor) in a lawsuit of financial lease;
• A rural commercial bank: Represented the bank in a bill dispute against a major commercial bank;
• A PE fund: Represented the fund for its series disputes over project exits and carried interest allocations;
• Tellhow Technology (SH600590): Represented Tellhow in the bankruptcy and reorganization of Siping Steel (creditor side);
• Hong Kong Baoheng Ocean Engineering Company: Represented Baoheng in its bankruptcy and liquidation case in Hong Kong (debtor side);
• Xi'an Yincheng Real Estate Development Company: In charge of the liquidation committee in the bankruptcy and liquidation case of Yincheng (debtor side);
• Shaanxi Provincial Investment Consultancy Company: In charge of the supervision committee in the bankruptcy and liquidation case of the company (debtor side).
